V/H/S is a found-footage horror anthology that follows a group of petty criminals hired to break into a secluded house and retrieve a mysterious VHS tape, only to discover a collection of disturbing recordings instead. As they search for the right tape, they watch several unrelated but equally terrifying segments, each depicting different encounters with supernatural forces—ranging from a night out that turns deadly after meeting a strange woman, to a couple documenting their relationship while being stalked by an unseen entity. Meanwhile, the framing story grows increasingly ominous as the intruders realize they may not be alone in the house, blurring the line between viewer and victim as the horrors on the tapes begin to mirror their own situation.
