Death Proof

Death Proof is a grindhouse-style action-thriller that pays homage to exploitation cinema of the 1970s. The film follows two groups of young women who become the targets of Stuntman Mike, a sadistic, aging stunt driver who uses his "death-proof" muscle car to stalk and kill his victims in high-speed crashes. The first group, unaware of his intentions, falls victim to his vehicular carnage. However, when he sets his sights on a second group—featuring real-life stuntwoman Zoë Bell playing herself—he gets more than he bargained for. The women turn the tables on Mike, leading to an exhilarating car chase and a brutal, cathartic revenge. Blending snappy dialogue, retro aesthetics, and adrenaline-fueled action, Death Proof is Tarantino’s love letter to the raw, gritty thrills of grindhouse cinema.
