Friday the 13th: A New Beginning

"Friday the 13th: A New Beginning" is the fifth installment in the franchise, released in 1985. The film follows a now-teenaged Tommy Jarvis, who continues to struggle with trauma and hallucinations of Jason Voorhees after seemingly killing him as a child in the previous film. Tommy is sent to Pinehurst, a halfway house for troubled teens, in an attempt to help him recover. However, when one of the residents is murdered by another, a new series of brutal killings begins, reminiscent of Jason's bloody rampages. As the body count rises, paranoia spreads among the residents, and suspicion falls on Tommy.
